 Happy National Hot Sauce Day (January 22)!!  I could not do without my bottle of Tabasco even while in Europe as I ate  my delicious Turkish Breakfast 😋😋😋 My son & his family in Germany bought me my very own bottle of hot sauce to use while we visit them - how thoughtful!

My thoughtful Sis gave me mini bottles of Tabasco as one of my birthday gifts, yessss!!

The Cheapest Macarons While in Europe

 We love 😋 Macarons. Here in the USA our most inexpensive source is Costco (approximately 45 cents each;  small size, see picture below).  

We loved eating Macarons while on our recent vacay to Germany and Turkey too. We found that the Macarons in Istanbul were a little bigger, fresher, and cheaper --- at 60 cents each (USD)!! 

 Compare that price to approx. $4 each in Wiesbaden, Germany; and $6 each in Dublin, Ireland per our friend, whoa 😦

Turkish Airlines: Food Served on Our Flights During Covid 19

 Whether Brown-Bagged or Boxed:  We flew a total of 6 times on Turkish Airlines (or its affiliate)  during our recent European trip. When we were served a meal, it was Chicken, Chicken, and more Chicken. They were consistent indeed -- no choices  were given. Take it, or leave it.  No tea nor coffee neither. Just bottled water. Welcome to the new air-travel normal 😕😐😏

Istanbul, Turkey: Favorite Designers (LV, YSL, Hermes) Stores at Airport

We recently flew into Istanbul Airport for an overnight layover as we made our way to Germany.  (BTW, this season of Covid-19 is not an ideal time to go to Germany.  We had a legitimate, allowable excuse -- but it was a hassle to get into the country as a US citizen, whew!).  The sight of these designer stores more than made up for any pandemic-related  unpleasantness related to our trip.
