Hair Care During Covid19 Using Common Items

 

If you are like me in these times of the  Covid19  pandemic, you've had plenty of time pondering do-it-yourself hair-care ideas as appointments with a Hairdresser are not as easy to make. (I especially miss the inexpensive local Beauty School in my neighborhood which had to close down!)

What to do? Here are a couple helpful helps (via FB) that you may never have considered. (NOTE: Take/Do/Follow  at your own risk).

1. Budweiser Beer conditions the hair

2. Cool Whip will condition your hair in 15 minutes

3. Mayonnaise will KILL LICE;  it will also condition your hair. (Will this work for dog fleas?)

4.  Use Lipton Tea for shiny hair

Turkish Airlines: Food Served on Our Flights During Covid 19

 Whether Brown-Bagged or Boxed:  We flew a total of 6 times on Turkish Airlines (or its affiliate)  during our recent European trip. When we were served a meal, it was Chicken, Chicken, and more Chicken. They were consistent indeed -- no choices  were given. Take it, or leave it.  No tea nor coffee neither. Just bottled water. Welcome to the new air-travel normal 😕😐😏

Naeem Khan: Designer of Wedding Gowns (& Face Masks)

Designer Naeem Khan is  best known for his gorgeous, at times intricate  clothes. I especially luv, luv, luv his stunning wedding gowns (first launched in 1983). Take a glimpse at these beauties below.  Mr Khan has also done a limited amount of (signed) daily face masks and I happily managed to snag one.

I have 2 unmarried daughters.  When the time comes for their weddings, Lord willing, I may nudge them towards this man and  take seriously the designs Mr Khan has to offer. Just gorgeous!!

During Covid-19 season, face masks are the fashion accessories!  My usual masks are my Mackenzie-Childs face masks made with genuine MC cloth. Both purchased from eBay. My current fave is my Naeem Khan daily mask expertly sewn using cloth made with Italian hemp. It's adjustable, comfortable, washable,  breathable (to me) and authographed - whoa!

Air travel is picking up, although it remains far below its peak.

Some trips include hotels, as occupancy rates are improving.

People are dining out, cautiously.

Big-ticket purchases like houses are picking up.

But there’s reason for caution. A “second wave” of infections could spook consumers. Look at Georgia, one of the first states to reopen: Jobless claims there remain high, suggesting “the economy might not fully recover until consumers feel safe,” Politico notes.

Covid-19: Buy These, If You Please

I am doing my part to support small or local businesses during this season of coronavirus.

A.  White Pine Vintage is a one-woman operation that has an account on IG. 

Found her through word-of-mouth via one of the people I follow.  I ordered thru her website for her beautifully-scented hand-poured candles. She is often out-of-stock (she's that popular). I strongly suggest that you DM her if that's the case.  She may still be able to get you what you want.  I do not know much else about K. (and vice versa) other than from my personal orders and from reading/watching her daily posts on Instagram. You will notice that she is a hard worker and has a good nose for scents. You be the judge, but I give her a thumbs-up so far for her popular, wonderful soy candles.
